The social pillar of the CSR policy is as important as the environmental component.
Drawing on its best practices, yet aware there is always room for improvement, GL events decided to launch the "Think People" programme at the end of 2011 in order to establish a clear, structured framework as regards the company's human resources management.

The programme addresses 3 key areas:
- Strategic workforce planning: recruitment, integration, mobility and training (resulting in the creation of the CAMPUS by GL events corporate university),
- Equal opportunities: diversity (including disability), occupational equality, inter-generational relations and social integration,
- Work-place well-being.

Within the Human Resources Department, the Human Resources Development unit is in charge of designing and managing the Think People programme for the benefit of all the employees of the GL events Group. The programme is deployed on a local level with the support of operational Human Resources teams. Driven by the Group's Executive Board, this approach actively involves all the employees and provides managers with the requisite support to meet their organisational objectives and needs.
This initiative has resulted in the gradual implementation of tangible action plans across all the Group's businesses, notably in favour of equal opportunities.




Diversity Charter

Signed in 2010, the Diversity Charter has made it possible to establish a policy framework taking into account the diversity of human resources within our company.

Indeed, the Think People programme won two prizes in 2012: the French "Diversity Award" and the "Trophée du Mieux vivre en entreprise" (Prize for well-being in the workplace). These prizes acknowledge the development and deployment of a comprehensive range of actions within the company:
- creation of specific training courses,
- awareness-raising initiatives aimed at managers,
- internal radio broadcasts, called "HR Frequency", addressing specific topics such as the integration of young people in the company and inter-generational management,
- deployment of the "Vis ma vie" (A day in my life) scheme, which gives employees the opportunity to spend a day learning about another profession in the Group,
- participation in external inter-company operations,
- dissemination of a management guidebook.
